Heavy Oil Applications

The Canwell team has a strong history in supporting Alberta’s Heavy Oil Projects to reduce total sulphur emissions. In 2006, Canwell worked with Cenovus on one of the first and currently the largest Heavy Oil H2S Scavenger application at Foster Creek. Since then we have provided preliminary and detailed engineering, equipment, chemical, and ongoing operation and maintenance services at a number of other Heavy Oil Facilities.

Our experience in Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) and Cyclic Steam Stimulation (CSS) gas scavenging has helped us refine our products and design systems to accommodate varying pressures, temperatures and flow rates that are uncommon in conventional scavenger applications.

Canwell's processes provide an emission free solution to removing H2S and light mercaptans from gas and liquid hydrocarbon streams.
